Using haunting Balkan instruments, sung in Serbian with a native folk melody, "My Sweetheart" won the semi-final. But when it came to the final night, it found itself up against some very energetic competition. When all the songs for 2004 were finally released, this was definitely one of the stand-outs. Like 2nd place winner of 2003, Sanomi, the track seemed out of place. It lacked any element of cheese or gimmick, it was just a plain good song. Zeljko and friends must have elicited enough emotion from the crowd both nights, they gained the exact same amount of points each time they competed. After the voting was through on the final, the very first entry from this former Yugoslavian nation came in 2nd place. Losing by only seventeen points to Ukraine.

Semi-Final Score: 263 pts (1st Place out of 22)

Final Score: 263 pts (2nd Place out of 24)
