2012: The Best

I'm sucker for late 80s/early 90s new-wave music, so this was awesome to get a little of that Depeche Mode sound on the Eurovision stage. This heartfelt rock-pop song with dubstep elements was actually my second favorite for the whole year but I didn't even think it'd qualify for the final.
Just because this is one of my prefered styles of music, I didn't think that Europe would be on board too. It's an older sound and not very "Eurovision." I was very pleased when it managed to qualify for the final. Like last year, my dark horse favorite got placed at the unlucky 2nd position in the final. This is when Hungary got forgotten in the mess and only came 3rd to last. It's still a great song and the preview video is worth a watch for it's political message.
