2012: The Weird

The weird and hilarious this year were a complete toss up. They both qualify as funny but I decided eventually that "Shake Your Booty" was the weirder of the two. Sung in a colloquial dialect of Austrian German, this poppy hip hop song was something else.

The crazy Austrian lyrics sound off to most anglophones. You can't help but wonder exactly what they're saying. It doesn't help that "Woki mit deim Popo" just sounds way dirtier than it's meant to. It really just means "Shake Your Booty" but with the glowing asses and the hip hop style, it just conjures much different thoughts.
