2015: The Winner

The Swedish National Final, called Melodifestivalen, is almost as a big a show as Eurovision. I'd been following MelFest, for short, for a few years and the show always produces big songs and stars. One of those stars is Måns Zelmerlöw. He had two smash hits from Melodifestivalen before he announced he'd be returning to the contest in 2015, and he was the hot favorite to win from day one.
Indeed, the clever staging and spot on performance of his awesome radio friendly synthpop song won the Swedish contest and the right to represent Sweden that year. As soon as he won MelFest, I knew he would win Eurovision. Even though he had tough competition from Russia and Italy, I was dead set on a Swedish win for Måns. I was already a big fan of his two albums and the EP he'd released and his new song was another awesome example of progressive Swedish electronic pop music. I got my way and the popular singer brought Sweden it's sixth Eurovision win.
