The Good, The Bad and The Hilarious
2011: An Overview
Germany's first time hosting as a unified nation, they proved that a major European power could still win the contest.
2011: The Winner
This song didn't seem like a favorite during the run up to the contest. I had focused on completely different songs, so this was a surprise winner.
2011: The Honorable
This Sixties inspired pop song was a fast favorite of Eurovision fans in 2011. It was charming, well performed and looked incredible on stage.
2011: The Hilarious
Oh my Belarus, you just had to go there didn't you? Patriotism at it's most, the rollercoaster that was "I Love Belarus" was one of the funniest moments in the modern Eurovision era.
2011: The Weird
So weird, so insanely good. "So Lucky" made the best use of the German stage technology to transform their three minutes into something unseen on the Eurovision stage.
2011: The Guilty
Another prime example of Swedish schlager, this cheesy pop gem was destined to do well at Eurovision.
2011: The Worst
This entry just has the worst chorus, it is supremely and annoyingly bad. The poor song just doesn't know what it's trying to be.
2011: The Best
Dino Merlin has had quite the career. He has been recording since the early 80s and in 1993 he wrote the first ever entry for Bosnia and Herzegovina in Eurovision.
