The Good, The Bad and The Hilarious
2003: An Overview
It was the end of May, I was two weeks away from graduating high school. I watched the show chatting on AIM with an on-line friend I'd met on a t.A.T.u. forum.
2003: The Winner
With a captivating middle-eastern hook and a great dance routine this, song swept all others away to take the prize.
2003: The Honorable
Ok, I’m a little biased here and the whole reason I ever watched Eurovision was because of these two feisty ladies.
2003: The Hilarious
“Have you ever known what the friends are for?” That’s what this song continually asks and I can’t help it, I’m sorry, but it just cracks me up.
2003: The Weird
With his background singers seemingly stolen from the B-52s and cardboard cutouts of animals this definitely caused many folk to scratch their heads in confusion.
2003: The Guilty
I was quite enamored with this Latin flavored dance-pop song. In “Tell Me (trans. from Spanish)” Beth sings her heart out in spit-fire Spanish in a very compelling melody.
2003: The Worst
To be fair, the recording of this song is fine. It’s not really that bad of a Spanish flavored tune and it’s even pretty catchy.
2003: The Best
Urban Trad are a Belgian group made up of both Flemish and French members, with heavy influence from the Galicia region in north western Spain just above Portugal.
